fever’s end part two- tablo

fuck, this song is gooooooooood

not in korean, but the rapper, TABLO is korean, he’s part of another group named EPIK HIGH, and they are pretty amazing as well!

just listen.
lyrics:
Dear TV, desensitize me.
Give me more genocide please.
The world is your aphrodisiac so you stay turned on every minute, every second I breathe.
You weaponize greed, kill me with incessant I needs.
Got me checkin’ out those and checkin’ out these.
Mainstream me, disinfecting my breed.
I’m looking for nirvana but you Geffenize me.
Point me to the skies till heaven’s eye bleeds.
Anoint me with your lies then divinize me.
If heaven is a show, well, televise me.
But I won’t lie my way in, no fakin’ IDs.
I’ll die standing. Try breaking my knees.
I’ll do a handstand like I’m breakin’. Now freeze.
Don’t act like you know me ‘cause you recognize me.
You sell my record not me.

CHAINSAW- daniel merriweather

this song i think is the summary to his album, “LOVE AND WAR”
he has this great smokey kind of husky r&b voice mixed with funk rock beats

he’s def. an artist i’d keep looking out for, he’s only had one album out so far, but i really liked it.

and i def. love this song- and i vaguely remember this song being used in multiple movies

i really love this track, just take a listen.

WATER AND A FLAME- Daniel Merriweather ft. Adele
the music video couldnt be embedded but if you wanna see it here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShO6KKaEoZQ

his and her voice alone makes this music beautiful.

the song i think tells an honest story of what it is right after a break up- whether its a mutual break up or one sided.

I think Daniel Merriweather should definitely sing and collaborate with Adele more, they just make a great music together~

def. a must listen.

What You Thought You Need- Jack Johnson

i love this song for so many reasons.

its mellow, and easy to listen- but has enough beat to jam to it, sing along to it or just play it and place it as white noise

when you listen to the lyrics its a beautiful story of tender, love and care- its sweet and its warm- and at some points kind of sensual-

its a lovely song.

James Morrison- If You Don’t Want To Love Me

I’m gonna stay
When you just wanna fight
When you’re closing your eyes
Cause you don’t wanna love me

I’m gonna stay
You can’t push me too far
There’s no space in my heart
Where I don’t wanna love you

From the album, “Songs for you, truth for me”

THAT ALONE should give you a sense of the honesty and the love he has put into each and every song.

and im not going to lie, this is the kind of song that i hope defines my future someone.
im terribly insecure- alot of people find me to be confident but i dont know… i dont really feel confident… ever…

but i think if i ever found someone like the person in this song- man… just….

my heart would explode because i’d be so thankful someone like this even knows me and lets me i their life.

but till i meet someone like that (and if i dont, then thats okay too- no heart exploding kind of feelings…) i’ll just listen to this song on repeat

i hope you guys enjoy this song too.

(i posted the acoustic version)

Maya- 못다핀 꽃 한송이 (translated to in an ugly setting, a flower blooms)

Maya. the fucking bad ass mother fucker of korean rock.

Korean music doesnt really do rock, but this woman, AHHHHH—mayzing. OKAY?!

don’t know korean? dont care. LISTEN TO IT.

this song is about is about how you’re going crazy, its impossible nothing is happening your way and you’re concrete but out of no where like breathing that first gasp of air after choking a flower springs in between the cracks- i CANT be sure, but i believe that the lyrics are from a famous korean poem- but seriously this is amazing, okay?

just… just listen, okay?

Citizen Cope-A Bullet and A Target

Mr. Dali Lamas
Another sister’s shootin’ heroin tomorrow
Amputees in Freetown
Sierra Leone’s
The church wasn’t honest
The state put the youth in a harness
Creatin’ hostility among us
Teacher said no college
Still the kid’s gotta get a check with a couple commas
People wanna bomb us
More people gotta scatter and run from us
You can blame it on Zeus and Apollo and Adonis

I.LOVE. CITIZEN COPE.

i love his style, his voice and just his fucking attitude. love it.

this song about the corruptions and the fucked up things in life he just simply does not understand and simply saying,

do fucked up things, be fucked up then you’ll get fucked up- because all you’re doing is painting a target on your own back for karma to screw you over.

worth a listen, take a listen.

Andrew Bird- The Naming of Things

memories like mohair sweaters
stretched and pilled faux distressed letters
moose’s horns and figure eights
white plastic bags in search of mates
what suffocates the land
in the memory of garbage can
memory of garbage can

i have posted a live performance of him, because he is FASCINATING!

he plays everything live, and he has a DJ on stage with him who loops everything - and in his live performances he does exactly that- and creates what is this beautiful performance that is different every time-

this is one of my favorite songs- for me it means that no matter what we name certain things, its still the same thing if it means the same thing for us, in ourselves. from the silly things to the deep beautiful things to the crazy times with friends if its something that makes us happy then it is simply happiness

if it makes us feel like crap, betraying pain in our hearts to the leaving of a lover its all sadness-

no matter how we dress somethings up, its all the same.

Gavin Degraw-Lover Be Strong (from the album, FREE)

No matter what happens, I see you on the other side
There’s too many distractions, waiting for the perfect time
I know you’re alright, by the friends you keep
It’ll all be fine, depend on me

This song and i have history.

I had introduced this to my mum once, late night bored out our minds with insomnia we made a denny’s run and in the car i had translated each line to her in Korean as i drove us to Dennys.

i even remember what we ordered. i ordered a coffee and apple pie with ice cream and she got a cramberry juice. (curse you high memory recall!)

at the time i didnt really understand what she was going through- but at the same time i knew everything that was happening to her.

she was hurting, lonely and so damn scared and i had wanted to share this song with her and i had and i had hoped maybe she understood that was my constipated way of telling her that i was there…

but its quiet pointless now to play out the details, innit? ^___^; (sad smile- hah.)

but hopefully this song speaks something to you guys and i hope so too.
and this song goes out to all of us, sailing on that pea green boat- all of us all lost at sea.

be strong lovers.

 Justin Nozuka - Save Him

Deep at night I’m awakened from my dreams,
Next door - yelling cries mercy she’s begging please,-
“Get up, get up”, he brings her to her feet,
And smacks her down till she falls to the ground
And over and over again,
He brings her to her feet till she can no longer stand -
And still the beating never ends

 Not all love is good.

i think this is a common mistake we make, to believe that love can do know wrong- i think as sad and dark as it may sounds that when some people love each other the only way they can love is by hurting each other or hurting themselves.

This song is a painful song of a story of two people who do exactly that.

about two lovers who loves each other so god damn much but hurt each other and the people who are in their lives

sometimes some loves were just not meant to me :C

trigger warning of abuse and self afflictions.
